Top Priority Cleanliness Protocols
Second Season Retreat is redefining how adult care for seniors with Alzheimer’s and dementia should look. Through our innovative, engaging, and compassionate approach, we provide a much-needed service to families while fostering an environment where seniors can thrive and remain safe. So, with the health safety of our members and staff first and foremost, we have implemented protocols to reduce the spread of bacteria and viruses.
The transfer of bacteria and viruses is most commonly spread via two avenues: airborne and touch. At Second Season, we have taken measures to greatly reduce the spread, not only for the cold and flu season, but year-round.

We have installed the Sans Air Filtration system which eliminates 99.97% of bacteria and viruses in the air. We have installed 3 units, allowing the complete coverage of our facility.

We have installed anti-bacterial hand wipes throughout the facility for the convenience and safety of our members and staff.

Food safety is always our top priority, after our members and staff.
The food that is served here is ordered and picked up daily from local vendors.
We do not cook on the premises however, we do warm and serve the meals.
Our staff is trained on food safety. Also, by washing hands thoroughly and wearing gloves, the transfer of bacteria and viruses when handling food is at a minimum.

All hard surfaces are wiped down at the end of each day with anti-bacterial wipes, and soft surfaces are sprayed with anti-bacterial safety agents.
